We would love to take you on this all inclusive adventure. From cab, guidance during the downwinder to hot shower and snacks and drinks in our Beach House. Everything will be fixed.

AT BLOW YOU CAN COUNT ON THIS
A downwinder, in our eyes, is ultimate freedom. We leave the safe spot behind and rock downwind (windward) along the coast to our destination. Meanwhile, we smack the lip, use the waves as take-off and enjoy the last piece of unspoiled nature in the Netherlands: our North Sea.
- TRANSPORT & STORAGE
We always provide transportation from or to BLOW in the form of buses or cabs. We store all your gear safely in our kitesurf school.
- INSTRUCTOR ON THE JOB
Prior to the downwinder, we brief the group at a skippers meeting, help you with equipment and keep an eye on you during the downwinder.
- WARM WELCOME TO BLOW
After a downwinder, it's great to land at our home port. A drink and snack will be waiting for you while we exchange strong stories 😉
THE BLOW DOWNWINDERS
There are 2 downwind options. These are based on your kitesurfing and downwind experience. Always choose the option that suits your level. Nothing is more annoying than having to quit early or getting into trouble because the level is just a little too high.
Hoek van Holland - BLOW
The intermediate version, we take the bus south and downwinder 10km to BLOW. This will take you about 1.5 to 2 hours.
- You have experience with at least two downwinders
- You can do upwind sailing, toeside sailing, a self-rescue and board rescue
- You are physically fit enough to finish the downwinder
- Your material is up to date
- And of course a good dose of stoke to make it a top downwinder
BLOW - NORTHWIJK
The real deal! From BLOW to Noordwijk 30 km. About 2.5 - 3 hours of blazing! We brave the harbor of Scheveningen and the Pier. Know what you are getting into!
- You have at least three years of kitesurfing experience
- You have experience with downwinder (at least 3, because we will have to pass the pierhead and pier in Scheveningen)
- Your gear is up to date and you are physically fit enough to finish the downwinder

Step 2
If there is a downwinder scheduled you will hear about it 5 days in advance. You can then book through the website to reserve your spot in the downwinder. Two days in advance we will let you know if the downwinder will take place.
Step 3
The downwinders take place in southwest or northeast winds between 20 and 35 knots. In case the downwind cannot take place, you will keep your reservation for the next downwind.
Step 4
Yes, yes, yes all the lights are green. We're off! On the day make sure you are fit and your gear is in order. Be on time, be happy. Pick your buddy, make good arrangements and enjoy. Let's fucking rock this downwinder together!

What happens if I have a breakdown on the road?
During the downwinder, we always work with a buddy system. Buddies always look out for each other. Should for example your buddy's lines get tangled, so you help each other on the shore so you can then continue together.
It is recommended that at least one buddy always have a phone with him in case of emergency.
It may happen that you have equipment breakdowns along the way, it is your own responsibility to always make sure your equipment is up to date. If you are stranded then it is also your own responsibility to go to blow or the bus.
Please note that there is no bus or support riding along the downwinder. BLOW has instructors who can be of service, but are not responsible for stranded kiters.
